KLCI loses more ground at midday, Tenaga weighs


UMW fell 11 sen, the biggest decliner among the KLCI stocks, to end the morning session at RM5.12.

Consumer stocks topped the list of decliners, BAT fell 56 sen to RM43.94, Dutch Lady lost 26 sen to RM56.24 and Nestle 26 sen to RM77.24.

Tenaga lost six sen to RM14.14, Genting Malaysia nine sen lower at RM4.63 and Genting Bhd seven sen down at RM8.08.

Among the plantations, Sime Darby fell two sen to RM8.04. IOI Corp lost three sen to RM4.37, KL Kepong was down two sen to RM23.72 and PPB Group rose six sen to RM15.82.

Bouyant tin price saw MSC climb 15 sen to RM4.44.

Can-One fell 19 sen to RM3.55 and EITA 12 sen to RM1.14.



Spot gold fell US$2.59 to US$1,185.73.
