Chan: ‘We are thrilled to be awarded for our Gardenhill development.’

PETALING JAYA: Gardenhill, a joint venture between construction firm Fajarbaru Builder Group Bhd and Australia’s Beulah International, was honoured with the “Game Changer of the Year” title at the inaugural Annual REA Excellence Awards, trumping some of the country’s most renowned developers.

Located in Melbourne, the Gardenhill development, led by Beulah International, an Australian developer founded by Malaysians won the award for its off-lead dog park, Australia’s first exclusive and private dog park in a high-rise apartment project.

The “Game Changer of the Year” award acknowledges innovation that challenges the status quo, solves a broader market issue and benefits the industry or local community.

Hosted by the REA Group, a multinational digital advertising business specialising in property and operators of Australia’s leading property website, the awards recognise the industry’s best innovators, marketers and community champions across Australia.

According to Beulah International executive director Adelene Teh, the introduction of an off lead dog park will encourage responsible pet ownership.

“With Australia having one of the highest rates of pet ownerships in the world, we realised many people find themselves in situations where they have to surrender their pets as they move into apartments that are not pet friendly.

She added that the introduction of a private dog park in Gardenhill has enabled residents to continue to enjoy the company of their beloved furry friends.

“Our vision as a developer has always been to transform a project into something people will enjoy and something that will add value to their lives, rather than just use.

“We also want to deliver projects that will hopefully enhance and improve the surrounding area for many years to come,” she said.

Fajarbaru-Beulah (Melbourne) Pty Ltd executive director Chan Jiaheng said it was a great honour to be recognised for the hard work and innovation by such a significant award in Australia.

“We are thrilled to be awarded for our Gardenhill development as it reinforces our vision of delivering projects that continually push the boundaries.

“The judging panel consisted of some of Australia’s most renowned individuals within the property sphere, so for them to give us credit is a huge acclaim for us,” he said.

With the construction of Gardenhill set to conclude in the coming months, Beulah International is now turning their attention to their growing development portfolio with boutique and high-rise projects planned for some of Melbourne’s most sought-after suburbs including Ivanhoe, South Yarra, South Melbourne and a premium site in the Melbourne central business district (CBD) which will house a 48-level mixed use residential development.
