Soft consumer sentiment affects Heineken results


PETALING JAYA: Weaker macroeconomic conditions and soft consumer sentiment have weighed on Heineken Malaysia Bhd which saw a slight decline in its revenue and profit for the quarter ended Sept 30, 2016.

On a year-on-year basis for the quarter ending Sept 30, Heineken’s revenue contracted 5% to RM384.8mil from RM405mil from a year ago while pre-tax profit also declined by 10.9% to RM74.89mil.
