PETALING JAYA: Perdana Petroleum Bhd has secured an RM67mil contract from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd to supply a floating accommodation vessel.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Perdana Petroleum said the charter would run for three years from the on-hire date of Sept 17, 2016, with an extension option of two years.

The offshore marine support services provider said the risks associated with the contract were normal operational risks that could be mitigated through Perdana Petroleum’s system of project management and internal business controls.

The company expects the contract to contribute positively to the revenue and earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2016 and the financial periods thereafter for the duration of the contract.

Trading in Perdana Petroleum shares has been suspended since Sept 30 last year, pending compliance with the public shareholding spread under Bursa Malaysia’s listing requirements.
