Sona shares to be suspended on Sept 27


In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Sona said Credit Suisse had acquired the 2.62 million shares on Aug 17. Following the acquisition, Credit Suisse owned 235.9 million Sona shares.

PETALING JAYA: Sona Petroleum Bhd shares will be suspended from next Tuesday. The special purpose acquisition company had announced that it was winding up after having failed to acquire a qualifying asset, in line with a High Court order.

It had proposed to distribute the cash back to eligible shareholders by November 2016 through a first tranche of payment involving 97% of the monies held in the cash trust account.
