Trading ideas: PAOS, MPC, Persona, Taliworks

KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects  PAOS Holdings Bhd, Malaysia Pacific Corp Bhd (MPC),  Persona Metro Holdings Bhd and Taliworks Corporation Bhd to attract trading interest on Tuesday.

It said Paos proposed a bonus issue with 60.39 million new shares coupled with issuance of 90.58 million free warrants on the basis of one warrant for every two shares held, after the proposed bonus issue.

As for MPC, JF Apex Research said the company aborted the sale of Wisma MPL in KL.

Persona Metro Holdings, as the group bagged a RM371m contract to build Section 6 Kapar Interchange to Asam Jawa Interchange of the West Coast Expressway;

Taliworks Corp's JV bagged a RM73m to undertake the Ganchong water treatment project in Pekan, Pahang.

Overnight on Wall Street, US markets racked up their strongest gain in two months on Monday after Federal Reserve Board Governor Lael Brainard stuck to her dovish stance on interest rates and urged caution about removing monetary stimulus too quickly.

However, European stocks declined as investors failed to shake off concerns over a potential interest rate hike in September by the US Federal Reserve.

Last Friday, the FBM KLCI slid 4.94 points to end at 1,686.11 points ahead of long weekend.

“The FBM KLCI could remain pressured below the resistance of 1705 points ahead of another long weekend,” said JF Apex Research.
