Bumi Armada CFO Murdoch stepping down

Bumi Armada's total order book as at end-March 2016 was RM36.4bil

KUALA LUMPUR: Bumi Armada Bhd's current chief financial officer Kenneth Murdoch will step down from his post with effect from Nov 17.

The international offshore energy facilities and services provider said on Friday Murdoch has decided to pursue his personal goals outside the company.

Bumi Armada CEO and executive director Leon Harland and the board of directors had accepted Murdoch’s decision.

Ahead of his departure, Pierre Savy was nominated acting CFO and will start in his new role with immediate effect.

“Murdoch will continue to support Savy in this transition period until his official last day. Savy has been an integral part of the finance and project organisation since May 2015 and brings a wealth of industry experience particularly in financial reporting, finance and internal controls,” it said.

Prior to joining Bumi Armada, Savy was the finance director of SBM Offshore in Kuala Lumpur. Prior to SBM, Savy was the CFO of Technip Asia Pacific and helped set up and further develop Technip in Asia Pacific region.
