Bursa reprimands, fines and suspends dealer’s rep


KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd has reprimanded, impose a fine of RM52,000 and suspended Mohan Arimuthu for 10 weeks as a registered person, including from trading on or through the stock market of Bursa Malaysia as a dealer’s representative (DR).

He had been convicted for engaging in false trading activities involving the securities of AHB Holdings Bhd, BIMB Holdings Bhd, Eden Inc. Bhd and Damansara Realthy Bhd, the bourse said in a statement.

Mohan was also required to undergo training on the conduct or professionalism of DRs and market offences. 

He was at the material time of the breach a proprietary day trader of CIMB Investment Bank Bhd at its principal office, and had contravened and/or triggered the provisions of Rules 3.14(d) of the Rules of Bursa Malaysia Securities. - Bernama
