PETALING JAYA: Diversified conglomerate PPB Group Bhd’s overall earnings in recent years have been “contingent” upon the business performance of associate company Wilmar International Ltd, which is the world’s largest agribusiness trader.

This is due to Wilmar’s significant contribution, estimated at 70%, to PPB’s profit, according to analysts.
