CIMB, Maybank to get boost from bilateral move

PT Bank CIMB Niaga

PETALING JAYA: The move by Indonesian and Malaysian regulators to give their banks greater access to each other’s markets will provide a boost to the topline and bottomline of CIMB Group Holdings Bhd and Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank).

Kenanga Research banking analyst Ahmad Ramzani said they were positive on the move for the two banks as it would give wider access to grow their financing books.
