KUALA LUMPUR: Sunway Construction Group Bhd
has appointed Tan Sri Dr Rebecca Fatima Sta Maria as its independent director, effective on Wednesday.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said Sta Maria began her career in the Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic Service in 1981 and served in various capacities in the then Ministry of Trade and Industry.
She retired as the Secretary-General of the International Trade and Industry Ministry in July, a post she was appointed to in December 2010.
On Monday, RHB Bank Bhd also appointed Sta Maria as its independent director. - Bernama
