AirAsia X posts 27% increase in passenger load

KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia X Bhd (AAX) carried 1.03 million passengers in the second quarter of 2016, an increase of 27% from 810,944 passengers in the same corresponding quarter last year.

In a statement, the airline said despite historically being the leanest quarter, operating performance in the second quarter exceeded expectations due to demand across all regions, following the ongoing turnaround plan initiated last year.
