Razman Hafidz Abu Zarim is new CEO of Tune Protect Group Bh

KUALA LUMPUR: Tune Protect Group Bhd has appointed Razman Hafidz Abu Zarim as its new chief executive officer following regulatory approval for his leadership, effective Friday.

This comes following an announcement on the pending resignation of CEO Junior Cho effective July 15, citing personal reasons, Tune Protect said in a statement here on Thursday.

"I am excited for this opportunity to lead Tune Protect, steering ourselves closer to becoming the digital insurer of choice. I am spurred by the confidence of the board and regulators in my ability to bring Tune Protect to its full potential," Razman said.

With this official appointment, independent director of the board Ng Siek Chuan assumes the role of acting chairman in the interim, until Tune Protect appoints a new independent chairman.

Through its subsidiaries and associates in Malaysia, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates, Tune Protect underwrites, directly and via reinsurance, general insurance business.

The group, formerly known as Tune Ins Holdings Bhd, also offers insurance products online, directly, as well as through online partners. - Bernama
