Muda expects commercial run of glazed paper next month

Foreign funds have continued to be net buyers on Bursa Malaysia on Monday at RM167.64mil.

PETALING JAYA: Paper packaging manufacturer Muda Holdings Bhd expects its RM34mil paper glaze machine to start its commercial run next month.

Deputy managing director Datuk Lim Chun Cheong said its Tasek Mill in Penang was unable to produce paper glaze for the export market due to technical problems.

"We have solved the problem and have got new parts for the machine," he said after Muda's AGM on Thursday.

In June last year, the group said it would be the first in the country to produce machine-glazed paper for the food industry at its newly built plant in Simpang Ampat. This is an extension of its existing plant there.
