Bursa Securities queries Versatile Creative again



KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd has queried Versatile Creative Bhd on Thursday, the second time in May, over the rise in the share price recently.

The regulator has directed the company to find out whether there were any reasons or corporate activities which could have cause the unusual market activity.

This was the second time in May that Bursa Securities had queried the company whose core activities are paper carton boxes and printing.

The share price has surged from 74 sen on May 3 to RM1.61 on Wednesday.

On May 5, Bursa Securities had queried the company over the surge in the share price.

The company, had in its response, had then said a major shareholder had inked a deal to sell eight million shares to a third party at a negotiated price of 60 sen per share.

On May 6, in addition to the earlier reply, Versatile creative said the transaction was done off-market but it did not envisage the share sale transaction to give rise to the UMA.
