Axiata Q1 earnings off to slow start at RM368.3mil

Axiata entered the Nepal market with its local partner, Sunivera Capital Ventures Pte Ltd, holding 20% direct local shareholding in Ncell, as required under local law.

Its performance was also impacted by higher depreciation and amortisation charges, higher net finance costs and lower share of profit from associates, despite higher earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda).
