KUALA LUMPUR: Oil and gas services provider Deleum Bhd is bidding for new contracts worth up to RM500 million this year.
Group managing director Nan Yusry Nan Rahimy said the company was confident of winning all the tenders which comprised local contracts.
"We are aggressive in tendering for contracts in these specific areas and we are optimistic of securing them, but there are also tenders which we declined," he told reporters after the company's AGM in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.
Nan Yusry said the contracts the company had bid for were related to power and machinery, oilfield services and maintenance as well as repair and overhaul works.
The group's orderbook currently stands at RM2.95 billion, which will keep it busy until 2023.
On prospects, he said despite the fall in global oil prices, the group had strengthened its operations to face the challenges, with continuous cost rationalisation and efforts to penetrate growing markets.
"These are the strategies that we have outlined and hopefully that will carry us into the future... we are still focusing on our core business, looking at downstream sector as well as the international business," he said.
Nan Yusry was also optimistic the company's track record in integrated services would be positive for its business prospects. - Bernama
