Gas Malaysia plans to build up to 100km of pipelines


Gas Malaysia CEO Ahmad Hashimi Abdul Manap said the companys three new businesses - Combined Heat and Power, Bio-Compressed Natural Gas (BioCNG) and Virtual pipeline - would be operational starting from the third quater of this year and contribute 20-30 of the companys bottom line in about five years time.

KUALA LUMPUR: Gas Malaysia Bhd is planning to set aside a capital expenditure of RM130mil to RM140mil this year for the expansion of its core business in the peninsular.

The gas distributor and supplier was looking to build a further 80km to 100km of gas pipelines, compared with the 74km built last year, said chief executive officer Ahmad Hashimi Abdul Manap (pic).
