Bumi Armada seeks RM1.1bil from Woodside


PETALING JAYA: Bumi Armada Bhd has filed a claim in the Australian court seeking US$283.51mil (RM1.1bil) from Woodside Energy Julimar Pty Ltd for the termination of a contract for the charter of the Armada Claire floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit.

Bumi Armada said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday that the total US$283.51mil comprised US$275.81mil for the amount of the termination payment it is entitled to had the contract not been breached, and also US$7.70mil for works done and materials supplied.
