Puncak to acquire TRIplc assets

Both companies share a major shareholder in Tan Sri Rozali Ismail(pic), who is the executive chairman of Puncak Niaga. Aside from his 39.68% stake in Puncak Niaga, he also owns a 23.23% stake in TRIplc through direct and indirect shareholdings.

PETALING JAYA: TRIplc Bhd has entered into a heads of agreement (HoA) with Puncak Niaga Holdings Bhd to facilitate the potential acquisition of businesses between the two parties, which happen to have the same substantial shareholder.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, TRIplc said the HoA was meant to facilitate discussions and negotiations for a potential acquisition of its businesses by cash-rich Puncak Niaga, which had shed the majority of its assets following the consolidation of Selangor’s water concessionaires.
