KUALA LUMPUR: Aladdin Group, set up in the middle of last year, is aiming to compete with e-commerce giants like Amazon and Alibaba with its exclusive premium halal and syariah-compliant e-marketplace.

Co-founder and president Datuk Seri Desmond To said while the company had plans to invest US$100mil in advertising and promotions (A&P) to grow the platform over the next three years globally, it also intended to reach out to five billion customers and eventually set up offices in other countries in three years.
