Gamuda-MMC JV wins RM15.47bil SSP Line contract

Shahril: ‘The working relationship between MRT Corp and MGKT began with the MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line. This good relationship can now continue with the SSP Line.’

KUALA LUMPUR: The MMC Corp Bhd and Gamuda Bhd joint venture (JV) has won the single-largest mass rapid transit (MRT) package to date worth RM15.47bil for the underground works in the upcoming MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line.

This calls for a future earnings revision forecast for MMC and Gamuda, as the contract value is higher than analyst expectations, which had already factored in the length of the underground works which is much longer than its counterpart in MRT Line 1. For MRT Line 1, the cost was RM8bil.
