KUALA LUMPUR: Think Big Digital Sdn Bhd, which manages the AirAsia BIG Loyalty Programme, has appointed Datuk Eddy Leong as chief executive officer.
The company said in a statement that Leong, who started his career with Arthur Andersen & Co, later spent several years in leadership positions in the aviation and hospitality industry with companies such as Berjaya Group, Destination Resorts and Hotels, and Malaysia Airlines.
Think Big said he was responsible for the setting up, development and operation of Firefly Airline from its start in 2007 until 2011 and most recently acted as advisor to Philippines AirAsia.
On the appointment, Think Big chairman and director Datuk Kamarudin Meranun said: “With a career that spans across both airline and hospitality, we believe that Eddy’s expertise is exactly what we need to catapult the AirAsia BIG Loyalty Programme into its next stage of expansion.”
Think Big Digital is a joint venture between AirAsia, Canada-based loyalty analytics firm AIMIA and Tune Money.
