Trading ideas: UEM Edgenta, Kerjaya Prospek, Xin Hwa, Pesona Metro


KUALA LUMPUR:  JF Apex Research expects UEM Edgenta, Kerjaya Prospek and Xin Hwa to be among the stocks which could  attract trading interest on Tuesday.

Other companies in the news were Pesona Metro, TRC Synergy and Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor (KPS).

JF Apex Research said UEM Edgenta bagged a three-year RM91.8mil biomedical engineering maintenance services contract.

Kerjaya Prospek secured a RM181.31mil dredging contract for the second phase of the reclamation for Seri Tanjung Pinang development (STP 2) in Penang.

Xin Hwa, the group has bagged a RM24.9mil contract to supply labour, prime mover and trailer services for depot operation and inter-terminal transfer at Port of Tanjung Pelepas in Johor.

It said  Pesona Metro secured a RM313.85mil construction job for the proposed teaching hospital of Unversiti Sultan Zainal Abidin.

TRC Synergy was awarded a B$78.8mil (RM231.1mil) contract for the Brunei International Airport.

KPS ventured into the non-revenue water (NRW) solution projects in the country after acquiring 51% stake in Smartpipe Technology Sdn Bhd for RM5.1mil.

On the external front, US markets eked out slight gains following higher telecommunication and healthcare counters. European stocks declined after lower oil prices.

At Bursa Malaysia, the FBM KLCI closed 2.02 points higher at 1,718.36 after recovering from an intra-day low of 1,707.11. 

“Following the positive performance on Wall Street, the KLCI could climb higher towards its resistance of 1,750,” said JF Apex Research.
