KUALA LUMPUR: MALAYSIA AIRPORTS HOLDINGS BHD (MAHB) has completed 26% of the overall klia2 maintenance plan for grouting injection for 2016.
The airports operator said on Tuesday that under the maintenance programme for the low-cost carrier airport the grouting injection had been completed at 10 locations or 26% of the overall plan.
In February, MAHB completed four locations on the parking apron, out of 39 planned locations for 2016.
“Therefore the remaining planned locations for grouting injection works scheduled for 2016 have now been reduced to 29 locations including four locations on the taxiway,” it said.
MAHB said this new maintenance method resulted in a significant improvement in the incidents of sudden depression and significantly reduced the occurrence of ponding at klia2.
