The Penang state government has doubled the raw water intake fee charged to PBA Holdings Bhd (PBAHB), from 3 sen per cu metre to 6 sen per cu metre, starting Jan 1. PBAHB estimates the annual water intake fee to be paid to the state government was about RM61.5mil for 2016-2018. Read more

Reach Energy Bhd will acquire a 60% interest in Palaeontol BV for US$154.9mil (RM633mil) through a tripartite conditional agreement with Palaeontol Cooperatief UA and MIE Holdings Corp. Palaeontol owns Emir-Oil LLP, which in turn owns the entire working interest over 850.3 sq km in an onshore contracted area in Kazakhstan with four oil and gas producing fields. Read more

Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd’s (FGV) unit Felda Global Ventures Downstream Sdn Bhd (FGVD) proposed purchase of about 55% in China-based edible oil producer Zhong Ling Nutri-Oil Holdings Ltd for RM976.25mil is subject to shareholders’ approval. Facility services provider AWC Bhd has bagged a 10-year renewal of its concession to maintain Government buildings, as well as a new contract for critical asset refurbishment, worth about RM700mil in total. The renewal of its concession to maintain and give support services for Government buildings in Malacca, Negri Sembilan, Johor and Sarawak is worth about RM555mil. Read more

Damansara Realty Bhd’s 75% owned subsidiary TMR Urusharta (M) Sdn Bhd has received a letter of award worth about RM35mil to provide comprehensive cleaning and related services at the KL International Airport. Read more
