Sarawak to speed up NCR land development

KUCHING: Sarawak will speed up the development of large tracts of native customary rights (NCR) land for oil palm following the state government’s decision to stop giving out land for plantation projects.

State Land Development Minister Tan Sri Dr James Masing said as no more state land would be made available for oil palm projects, there would be a slowdown in Sarawak’s efforts to rapidly expand its oil palm hectarge.
