GEORGE TOWN: IDT Device Technology (M) Sdn Bhd, which has recently acquired a German maker of automotive and industrial products for US$307mil (RM1.28bil), will spend RM20mil this year to expand its analogue chip manufacturing operations in Bayan Lepas.
IDT vice-president (global operations) and chief technology officer Sailesh Chittipeddi told StarBiz the expansion would cater for production of chips and sensors to be supplied to its Automotive and Industrial Division (formerly Dresden-based ZMDI). IDT acquired ZMDI in December.
