Leweko partners with NUCETECH on construction works in Vietnam

KUALA LUMPUR: Leweko Resources Bhd’s unit, Dura Technology Sdn Bhd (DURA), is collaborating with Vietnam’s National University of Civil Engineering Technology Development and Investment Joint Stock Company (NUCETECH) for the construction of pedestrian bridges in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta and cities.

The parties have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the direction of cooperation under two phases, namely the construction of a pilot ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) (phase 1) and cooperation in the construction of an UHPC production factory (phase 2).

“DURA is principally involved in the manufacturing of UHPC for use in the production of precast elements for civil engineering, structural and architectural applications,” the timber company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

Set up on May 17, 2010, NUCETECH is home to a group of engineers from Vietnam’s National University of Civil Engineering in the field of building materials and building structures.

The MoU will expire five years from the date of execution. - Bernama
