Hibiscus counts on North Sea oilfield project

KUALA LUMPUR: Hibiscus Petroleum Bhd, which reported an RM164mil loss in the second quarter ended Dec 31, expects the maiden contribution from its 50% stake in a North Sea oilfield project to lift the group’s performance from the current quarter ending March 31 onwards.

“Even at US$30 per barrel, the project is still profitable,” managing director Kenneth Pereira said at a press briefing yesterday.
