Trading ideas: AWC, Tek Seng, TSR Capital, BP Plastics, Pharmaniaga

Pharmaniaga is poised to gain from its proposed Indonesian acquisition.

KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects AWC, Tek Seng, TSR Capital, BP Plastics and Pharmaniaga to be among the stocks to watch on Tuesday after their corporate announcements.

AWC secured a RM90mil five-year job for the newly-completed Shah Alam Hospital.

Tek Seng posted net profit of RM10.41mil for its 4QFY15 compared to a net loss of RM513,000 a year ago due to higher revenue from the solar segment.

TSR Capital bagged a RM240mil contract to build condominiums in Putrajaya.

BP Plastics’ 4QFY15 net profit surged 264% on-year to RM8.3mil, boosted by higher sales volume, better product mix, higher process efficiencies and a weaker ringgit.

Pharmaniaga’s 4QFY15 net profit fell 56% on-year to RM16.06mil on the back of increased promotional activities, R&D expenses, higher selling and distribution, as well as amortisation for the Pharmacy Information System.

JF Apex Research said a news report stated DneX was close to being awarded the contract to handle vehicle entry permits (VEPs) from Singapore to Malaysia.

At Bursa Malaysia, the FBM KLCI closed up 6.22 points to 1,649.96, off an intra-day high of 1,661.34.

“Following the bullish overnight performance in Europe, the KLCI is expected to extend its rebound towards its resistance of 1,670,” it said.
