TEN years since Malaysia called its first ever open tender for a power plant, the Lahad Datu 300 megawatt (MW) power generator project still has not taken off.
A wholly owned subsidiary of Tenaga Nasional Bhd had initially been awarded the project but various issues and hurdles cropped up, leading to the project being postponed over and over again.
