UEM Edgenta to provide biomedical engineering services in Sarawak


KUALA LUMPUR: UEM Edgenta Bhd’s unit Edgenta Mediserve (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd plans to provide biomedical engineering maintenance services to government hospitals in Sarawak through a joint-venture (JV) company.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the asset and facility management services provider said its unit had inked a shareholders’ agreement with OBYU Holdings Sdn Bhd’s unit Biocare Systems Sdn Bhd and Biomedix Solutions Sdn Bhd to provide the services via Biomedix Solutions, a unit of Biocare Systems, as the JV company.

UEM Edgenta said the eventual issued and paid-up share capital of Biomedix would be RM1mil, with Edgenta Mediserve holding 40% and Biocare Systems 60%.

UEM Edgenta shares closed unchanged at RM3.30 on Monday.
