Ismail exits MAHB board after leaving Transport Ministry



KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Dr Ismail Bakar, who was appointed as the new secretary general of the Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Ministry effective Wednesday, has resigned as director of Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB).

In filings with Bursa Malaysia, MAHB said Datuk Ruhaizah Mohamed Rashid had, as a result, also ceased to be an alternate director to him on the company’s board.

Ismail, 55, had been the Transport Ministry’s secretary general prior to this appointment.

MAHB shares gained 34 sen to close at RM5.60 on Wednesday, with 3.68 million shares changing hands.
