ZURICH: LafargeHolcim Ltd raised a planned payout to shareholders and said it will sell US$3.5bil of assets next year as a slowdown in Brazil and China hurt third quarter- earnings. The shares rose.

The Swiss-French company, created this year in a US$35bil merger of Holcim Ltd. and Lafarge SA, proposed a dividend of 1.50 Swiss francs (US$1.50) for 2015, up from earlier guidance of at least 1.30 francs given in July, according to a statement.
