DKSH to market AMCo eye drops

KUALA LUMPUR: DKSH Business Unit Healthcare has teamed up with AMCo to provide registration, marketing and sales, distribution and after-sales services for the company’s eye drop products for hospitals, clinics and pharmacies in Malaysia.

In a statement released on Wednesday, DKSH said it will market and distribute AMCo’s Fucithalmic® Viscous Eye Drops in Malaysia.

Fucithalmic® is an eye drop medicine used to treat a common infection of the eye called bacterial conjunctivitis. It is sold in over 90 countries worldwide.

"Fucithalmic® is a well-established global product with significant growth potential. Through additional marketing and sales support by DKSH, we know that the product’s sales will significantly improve,” said AMCo CEO John Beighton.

He added that the product will now be accessible to more patients across the country.

Meanwhile, DKSH Malaysia vice president of healthcare Dr. Varun Sethi said the partnership with AMCo would complement and enhance DKSH’s existing range of pharmaceutical brands.

“It also demonstrates our capabilities and strength in the pharmacy and medical channels, backed by our integrated service offerings along the value chain, broad channel access and deep market insights. This reinforces our position as partner of choice for pharmaceutical companies wanting to grow their presence in Asia,” he said.

The agreement will further strengthen DKSH’s market position while contributing incrementally to its overall earnings.
