KUALA LUMPUR: Blue chips extended their losses in early Friday trade with Hong Leong Bank, Public Bank and Malakoff among the top losers as investors cut their stakes following the overnight fall on Wall Street.
At 9.42am, the FBM KLCI was down 6.97 points or 0.42% to 1,656,23. Turnover was 483.89 million shares valued at RM257.87mil. There were 126 gainers, 421 losers and 239 counters unchanged.
