Maxis seeks common definition for 4G signal


The shares were down by 5% to close at RM5.62, wiping out close to RM2bil from its market capitalisation which stood at RM42.2bil. Volume was also high, with 17.57 million shares changing hands.

KUALA LUMPUR: Maxis Bhd is encouraging the cellular telecommunications industry to adopt a common standard definition for 4G signal strength and called for a forum with its competitors.

It said on Tuesday it was crucial for the industry players to back up their claims of having the widest, fastest and best 4G network with tangible, measurable and truthful results.
