Two telecom contracts for Salcon’s fibre optic arm

More jobs: The consolidation of the water assets in Selangor should result in new tenders from year-end.

PETALING JAYA: Water and wastewater infrastructure specialist Salcon Bhd, which paid RM23.5mil for a 50.1% stake in Volksbahn Technologies Sdn Bhd (VBT), may see lower-than-expected contract values for the company’s fibre optics arm although this business will diverisfy contribution to total revenue over time.

Salcon, which bought the majority stake in VBT in May 2014, signed two 10-year contracts with U Mobile Sdn Bhd and Celcom Bhd for mobile back haul and site rental for shared infrastructure recently.
