KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia was in focus on Wednesday on news that the founders were sounding out investors to take the company private in a management-led buyout while oil and gas stocks climbed following the overnight jump in crude oil prices.
At 10.13am, the FBM KLCI was up 2.25 points or 0.14% to 1,664.76. Turnover was 579.57 million shares valued at RM500mil. There were 317 gainers, 197 losers and 243 counters unchanged.
