KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects Taliworks, Protasco and Theta Edge to be among the stocks which could see trading interest on Thursday after the corporate news.
Taliworks’ 20% owned joint venture secured a RM75.87mil contract to construct a 92 million litre balancing reservoir for the proposed Langat 2 water treatment plant and water reticulation system in Selangor.
Protasco secured a RM44mil contract from the Asian Football Confederation to build a four-storey building with basement car park.
As for Theta Edge, it bagged a RM91.89mil a contract to develop a web service for Accountant General's Department of Malaysia, from Ministry of Finance.
JF Apex Research said US markets rallied over 1.5% overnight but ended the quarter 7% lower to post the worst quarter since 2011. European indexes jumped 2.5% following gains in supermarket and miners.
At Bursa Malaysia, the FBM KLCI surged 17.72 points to end at 1,621.04 in line with the rebound in Asian markets.
“Following the bullish performance in the US, we expect the KLCI to extend its upward trend after bouncing off the support of 1,600. Resistance levels are seen at 1,670 and 1,700,” it said.
