KUALA LUMPUR: The courier, express and parcel (CEP) services segment will continue to be the main driver of Pos Malaysia Bhd’s earning growth, going forward, amid a lacklustre traditional mailing business.
Its covering group chief executive officer, Azlan Shahrim, said Pos Malaysia aimed to grow this segment further by maximising the efficiency of its infrastructure.
“Pos Malaysia is also keen to capture additional market share and generate new revenue streams via the introduction of new products and services,” he told reporters after the company’s AGM yesterday.
Azlan said Pos Malaysia must no longer think of itself as a monopoly in the business.
“We have to be competitive and will engage more with our staff in order to develop them to deliver the best services to customers,” he said.
Besides building high performance culture among the staff and becoming more customer-centric, Pos Malaysia would also embrace innovations to continuously remain relevant in the postal business, he said. — Bernama
