KLCI surges 60pt from day’s low, ringgit firmer vs USD (Update)

At 5pm, the FBM KLCI was up 31.80 points or 2.08% to 1,563.94 – off the early intra-day low of 1,503. Turnover was 2.78 billion shares valued at RM2.76bil. There were 381 gainers, 487 losers and 335 counters unchanged.

Stock market data showed local funds were net buyers at RM352.88mil while retail investors were net sellers at -RM15.12mil and foreign funds net sellers at -RM337.76mil.
