Kidzania KL expects 500,000 visitors this year

PETALING JAYA: Themed Attractions Resorts and Hotels Sdn Bhd expects to record 500,000 visitors to its educational and entertainment theme park, Kidzania Kuala Lumpur this year.

Kidzania KL and Singapore governor Susanah Abd Rani said that since the launch of the indoor family edutainment centre in 2012, it had received over two million visitors.

"We believe the target is achievable with the launch of four new establishments this month and the figure is based on the park's capacity at any one time," she told reporters at a press conference here on Monday.

The latest Kidzania KL partners are the Brother sewing and embroidery centre, F and N climbing building, Telekom Malaysia telecommunication centre and Leebook's young scientist magazine.

Kidzania KL has 35 industry partners with 35 sponsored establishments now.

"The unique concept of edutainment that Kidzania has to offer will aid developmental growth and inspire confidence, creativity and innovation among children.

"With the involvement of various industry partners from renowned local and international brands it will add further a sense of realism and value to their educational experience," Susanah added.

Kidzania KL, located at the Curve NX in Mutiara Damansara and spread over 80,000 sq ft, is targeted at children aged between four and 14. - Bernama
