Auto trade body sees higher vehicle sales in August


KUALA LUMPUR: Vehicle sales in Malaysia rose 2.1% to 58,646 units in July this year from June, driven by Hari Raya festive season campaigns and aggressive sales promotion by the industry players.

The Malaysian Automotive Association said on Tuesday it expected the upward trend in vehicle sales to “be slightly better” in August due to on-going promotional campaigns by car companies and longer working month.
