Tradewinds buys land for RM258mil cash


KUALA LUMPUR: Tradewinds Corp Bhd, a diversified conglomerate with key interests in hospitality and property development, has acquired 12.2 acres for RM258mil cash, kick-starting the company’s first mixed development project in the country.

The land, acquired via internally-generated funds, is situated within the green enclave of Jalan Belfield in the vicinity of the former Istana Negara and the Perbadanan Nasional Bhd headquarters which is under construction here. The development of the first parcel of 9.3acre with a gross development value (GDV) of RM3.8bil will comprise high-quality residences centred on a niche eco-friendly retail component.
