Texchem rises amid Sushi Kin stake sale


PETALING JAYA: Texchem Resources Bhd’s disposal of a 28% stake in Sushi Kin Sdn Bhd to Japanese fast-food restaurant giant Yoshinoya Holdings Co Ltd for RM102.2mil has garnered some interest in the market.

The company shares have risen 11.72% since July 8 to close at RM1.62 on Friday. On a year-to-date basis, the share price has soared 65%. Sushi Kin is the operator of the popular Sushi King chain of Japanese restaurants.
