NEW YORK: Square Inc, the mobile-payments company founded in 2009 by Jack Dorsey, who is also the interim chief executive officer of Twitter Inc, has filed confidentially for an initial public offering, according to media reports.
Square, which processed about US$30bil in payments from its millions of merchant customers in 2014, has been expanding into other areas such as business lending and payroll processing.
