MAI keeps to 700,000-unit TIV target

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia Automotive Institute (MAI) has reiterated its 2015 total industry volume (TIV) target of 700,000 units, saying sales may picked up in the later part of the year, despite the industry recording car sales of 325,000 units as of end-June.

“We have yet to discount our target of 700,000 units for 2015,” MAI chief executive officer Mohamad Madani Sahari told Bernama when asked to comment on the mid-year TIV performance.
