KUALA LUMPUR: CME Group Bhd, a manufacturer of fire and specialist vehicles, is demanding RM10.13mil from Bellajade Sdn Bhd, the principle judgment sum of a tenancy dispute between the two parties.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, CME said it had served the notice of demand to Bellajade to pay RM10.13mil being the principle judgment sum, interest, costs and further interest accruing until full settlement pursuant to the judgment dated May 20, 2015 by Kuala Lumpur High Court.
“The plaintiff (Bellajade) must secure or compound the same to the companys reasonable satisfaction within 21 days from the date of receipt of this demand, in default of which, the plaintiff shall be deemed to be unable to pay their debts, in which event the company shall proceed to petition to the court that the plaintiff be wound up,” it said.
On May 12, 2014, Bellajade filed a suit against CME Group over disputes in relation to a tenancy agreement dated Feb 21, 2013 whereby the latter agreed to rent from the former a 23-storey office building here.
On May 20, the court dismissed Bellajade’s claim and ordered it to pay CME Group RM9.41mil with interest of 4% on the pre-judgment sum and 5% on the post-judgment and awarded a cost of RM30,000. - Bernama
